The Salt-Water Original Sandal was the first ever Salt-Water to come out of the Hoy workshop back in 1944. Over 75 years later and this iconic sandal design lives on. It is a simple, versatile classic and looks lovely on all skin tones. The Original Salt-Water Sandal has our signature hand stitched sole and water resistant plaited leather upper. All children sizes are made with a velcro fastening under a faux buckle across the ankle strap for day to day ease. They are comfortable, durable and still beautiful.
The Original is a roomy sandal and fits comfortably wide. Before you put them on for the first time, stretch out the toe straps and gently bend the sole to ease. Best fitted with toes behind the stitch line. Do not oversize for children with the hope they will last longer - you do not want anyone tripping up!
